Known as: aminoterminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, N-Terminal Fragment of Brain Natriuretic Protein, N-Terminal Fragment of Prohormone Brain Natriuretic Peptide 
N-terminal fragment brain natriuretic protein (76 aa, ~9 kDa) is encoded by the human NPPB gene. This protein is a marker for cardiac failure.
