Known as: SMAD, Mothers Against DPP Homolog 3 (Drosophila) Gene, SMAD3, MOTHERS AGAINST DECAPENTAPLEGIC, DROSOPHILA, HOMOLOG OF, 3 
This gene is involved in signal transduction and apoptosis. It also plays a role in the regulation of both steroid synthesis and T-cell response.
