Molecular cytogenetic study of short arm aberrations in human D, G group chromosomes.
A study of supernumerary marker chromosomes and Yqs cases suggested that the markers exerted no phenotypic effect, and it was suggested that there might be different mechanisms for the formation of p+ on acrocentric chromosomes.

MSPCR is a rapid and simple PCR-based assay compared with other cyto-molecular tests and its results were consistent with the clinical diagnosis of PWS, so it seems to be a reliable diagnostic method for PWS patients who show abnormal methylation at SNRPN.
[Molecular cytogenetic study of an extra small chromosome].
The results showed that this chromosome was from the short arm of chromosome of D/G group, and the origin and genetic effects of this chromosome and fertility of the carriers were also discussed.
