Known as: Mesencephalic Astrocyte-Derived Neurotrophic Factor Gene, ARGININE-RICH PROTEIN, MESENCEPHALIC ASTROCYTE-DERIVED NEUROTROPHIC FACTOR 
This gene is involved in the regulation of both function and survival of dopaminergic neurons.
