In this paper, motion control of electrical driven free floating space manipulator is considered. The dynamics of the free-floating space manipulator are derived based on Virtual Manipulator Approach(VMA),which allows us to develop controller in joint space. Then a proportional plus derivative feedback control system with disturbance observer(DOB)are employed to compensate joint coupling, unmodeled uncertainties, as well as external disturbances herein both manipulator dynamics and motor dynamics…

Fuzzy Disturbance-Observer Based Control of Electrically Driven Free-Floating Space Manipulator

A fuzzy disturbanceobserver based output feedback control are employed to provide the solution to the control problem of an electrically driven free-floating space manipulator with internal parameter uncertainty and external disturbance.

Manipulation control of multi-body free-floating space robot based on software combination

The results show that the manipulator tracks the desired trajectory and disturbances on the base and solar panels deflections are minimized using the suggested method.

Resolved motion rate control of space manipulators with generalized Jacobian matrix

The authors develop a control method for space manipulators based on the resolved motion control concept that is widely applicable in solving not only free-flying manipulation problems but also attitude-control problems.

Disturbance observer based path tracking control of robot manipulator considering torque saturation

In this paper, a path tracking algorithm is proposed to compensate path deviation due to torque bound. For this, a disturbance observer is applied to each joint of an n degrees of freedom manipulator…

Kinematic control of redundant free-floating robotic systems

This paper is aimed at presenting solution algorithms to the inverse kinematics of a space manipulator mounted on a free-floating spacecraft by means of the so-called generalized Jacobian.

An adaptive partial state feedback controller for RLED robot manipulators

In this paper an adaptive partial state feedback controller is designed for a rigid-link electrically-driven (RLED) robot manipulator. The controller is based on structural knowledge of the…

Robust tracking control of an electrically driven robot: adaptive fuzzy logic approach

Simulation results from a two-link electrically driven robot show the satisfactory performance of the proposed control scheme even in the presence of internal model uncertainties in both the robot and motor dynamics and external disturbances.

Effect of motor dynamics on nonlinear feedback robot arm control

A nonlinear feedback robot controller that incorporates the robot manipulator dynamics and the robot joint motor dynamics is proposed, and the proposed robot controller yields conspicuously improved performance.

On the nature of control algorithms for free-floating space manipulators

It is suggested that nearly any control algorithm that can be used for fixed-based manipulators also can be employed in the control of free-floating space manipulator systems, with the additional…

Tracking control of nonholonomic mechanical systems including actuator dynamics

The control of nonholonomic systems is extremely challenging and stimulates researchers to design controllers for these highly nonlinear and complex systems. The control of these systems is important…

Dynamic control with adaptive identification for free-flying space robots in joint space

In this paper, a joint space dynamic control scheme with an adaptive identifier is proposed for free-flying space robots and an off-line adaptive parameter identification is performed.
