This new rat animal model developed by crossing RCS rats and athymic nude rats is suitable for conducting retinal transplantation experiments involving xenografts and demonstrated survival of human-derived cells and absence of apparent immune rejection.

This method was developed to rapidly and predictably tune degradation rates of low-fouling poly(oligo(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate) (P(EG)xMA) hydrogels by modifying two interdependent variables: base-catalysed crosslink degradation kinetics and polymer hydration.
