Medicine
Improvement in neuromuscular transmission was observed in six patients with myasthenia gravis, suggesting that an immunological block of receptor sites is reversible or that acetylcholine receptors are rapidly resynthesized.

Medicine
It is shown, that neither the rise in haematocrit nor the fall in the platelet count during the procedure are linear and the formulas commonly used for calculating the blood volume and platelet extraction efficiency, which are based on these assumptions, cannot be used.

Medicine
It is concluded that infusion of FFP to patients with MG should be avoided as it may induce complement activation and allergic reactions.
