Chlorothiazide

Known as: Chlorothiazid, 6-Chloro-1,1-dioxo-1,2-dihydro-1lambda*6*-benzo[1,2,4]thiadiazine-7-sulfonic acid amide, Chlorthiazide 
A short-acting, benzothiadiazinesulfonamide derivative and prototypical thiazide diuretic. Chlorothiazide is excreted unchanged by the kidneys.
