The higher-order shear deformation theory has been applied in the analysis of laminated composite structure. In this paper, the zigzag model of composite laminated beams using the trigonometric function is presented. The lateral displacement and strain is assumed to the sin-function which embodies approximately layer-wise behaviors based in existing data.
