Powder X-ray diffraction experiments of the antiferroelectric PbHfO 3 were performed between 8K and 525K using a conventional X-ray generator and a synchrotron radiation. Antiferroelectric superlattice reflections and reflections at R-point appeared below 435K on heating. Reflections associated with a large cell volume appeared between 435K and 480K instead of the antiferroelectric reflection. The reflections at R-point remained in the intermediate phase.
