The problem of learning is traditionally regarded as one of the central problems of psychology. A study of the psychological aspects of this problem was begun by H. Ebbinghaus in 1885 on the basis of word memorization and forgetting. Numerous experiments enabled Ebbinghaus to discover a monotonic exponential law of decrease in the number of words retained in memory [13].
