This paper describes an experimental study that evaluates the effectiveness of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) confinement on the axial compressive strength of plain and reinforced concrete square columns. For this purpose eight concrete square columns were experimented under axial compression load. The tested specimens were divided into two groups.
