The results of experimental investigation of reusing concrete dust (CD), from old concrete construction demolition as cement replacement are presented in the article. Tests were conducted on cement mass by replacing 0 % - 30 % of cement with CD mass. The physical and chemical properties of CD were stock reviewed to assess the possible influence on both fresh and hardened properties of cement. The results of qualitative properties evaluated by standard tests on different mixtures of Portland…

The effect of various pozzolanic additives on the concrete strength index

The concrete industry is searching continuously for new effective mineral additives to improve the concrete properties. Replacing cement with the pozzolanic additives in most cases has resulted not

Development of volcanic pumice based cement and lightweight concrete

The results of investigations on the suitability of using volcanic pumice (VP) as cement replacement material and as coarse aggregate in lightweight concrete production are reported. Tests were

Investigations into effective fly ash used in concrete

Abstract This work presents a study on the influence of thermal‐electrical fly ash on the cement paste hydration processes, investigation into cement stone, mortar, ordinary and self‐compacting

The use of particle packing models to design ecological concrete

Ecological concrete can be designed by replacing cement with fillers. With low amounts of cement it becomes increasingly important to control the water demand of concrete mixtures. In this paper a

Consistency of fly ash and Metakaolin concrete

Abstract As high‐performance Portland cement (PC), fly ash (FA) and metakaolin (MK) concrete have been developed in wide applications, it has growing interest in optimizing and predicting consistency
