Abstract A crystallographic and mechanical analysis of the effect of external uniaxial stress on the elastic matching and the phase coexistence in single crystals of Cr3B7O13Cl boracite is presented in this paper. A modified algorithm was developed with a view to determining the phase boundary and the domain structure of the two phase coexistence between the cubic 3m and the orthorhombic mm2 phases and between the tetragonal 2m and the mm2 ones, and the 3m/2m/mm2 three phase coexistence. Effects of mechanical stress on the domain structure and phase coexistence in the boracite Cr3B7O13CI single crystals

Abstract The paper is devoted to an analysis of the role of mechanical stresses and their influence on domain states, phase transitions and phase coexistence in the boracite Cr3B7O13C crystals. The

Interfaces in ferroelectrics and related materials with complex domain structures

Electric field and stress induced phase transitions in Cr-Cl boracite

By means of an optical investigation of Cr-Cl boracite crystals in polarized light it has been found that an orthorhombic mm2 phase is induced by stress, generated at the mechanically non-matching

Antiferroelectric-like to ferroelectric phase transition in chromium-chlorine boracite Cr3B7O13Cl

Abstract In the entire temperature range of the 42m phase, recently found in chromium-chlorine boracite Cr3B7O13Cl, an orthorhombic phase mm2 can be induced by an electric field above a threshold.

A new tetragonal (42m) phase and related phase sequence in Cr-Ci boracite

Abstract Using polarized light microscopy, a new tetragonal phase (42m), which is followed by an orthorhombic mm2 polar phase, has been found in Cr-CI boracite to be stable at zero electric field and
