Hepatitis B virus X antigen and aflatoxin B1 synergistically cause hepatitis, steatosis and liver hyperplasia in transgenic zebrafish.
- Jeng-Wei LuWan-Yu YangYueh-min LinShiow-Lian Catherine JinC. Yuh
- 1 September 2013
Medicine, Environmental Science
It is found that HBx and AFB1 synergistically promoted steatosis as indicated by histopathological examinations and the increased expression of lipogenic factors, enzymes, and genes related to lipid metabolism as well as the regulation of lipid metabolism related genes and cell cycle/division-related genes.
Flagellin modulates TIM4 expression in mast cells
- Linjing LiLi-Hua Mo B. Feng
- 1 November 2014
Biology, Medicine
It is concluded that FGN can induce mast cells to express TIM4, which helps initiate Th2 polarization, which was accompanied by increased STAT6 phosphorylation.
Up‐regulation of golgi α‐mannosidase IA and down‐regulation of golgi α‐mannosidase IC activates unfolded protein response during hepatocarcinogenesis
- Hsiao-Chen TuYung-Chun Hsiao C. Yuh
- 19 April 2017
Biology, Medicine
The data suggest that the up‐regulation of MAN1A1 activates the UPR and might initiate metastasis, which represents a novel oncogene while MAN1C1 plays a role in tumor suppression in hepatocarcinogenesis.
CTGF inhibits cell motility and COX-2 expression in oral cancer cells.
- J. ChuangWan-Yu YangChih-Ho LaiChia-Der LinM. TsaiChih-Hsin Tang
- 1 August 2011
Medicine
Results indicated that CTGF inhibits the migration of oral cancer cells by decreasing COX-2 expression through the αvβ5 integrin receptor, FAK, PI3K, Akt, c-Jun and AP-1 signal transduction pathways.
Identification of the common regulators for hepatocellular carcinoma induced by hepatitis B virus X antigen in a mouse model.
- Jeng-Wei LuYu Hsia C. Yuh
- 2012
Medicine, Biology
The validation of the gene expressions in the liver cancer of human patients and their cellular function assays suggests that the identified common regulators may serve as useful molecular targets for the early-stage diagnosis or therapy for HCC.
Overexpression of Endothelin 1 Triggers Hepatocarcinogenesis in Zebrafish and Promotes Cell Proliferation and Migration through the AKT Pathway
- Jeng-Wei LuC. Liao C. Yuh
- 8 January 2014
Medicine, Biology
The data suggest that EDN1 plays an important role in HCC progression by activating the PI3K/AKT pathway and is regulated by miR-1.
Low Molecular Weight Fucoidan Prevents Radiation-Induced Fibrosis and Secondary Tumors in a Zebrafish Model
- Szu-Yuan WuWan-Yu Yang C. Yuh
- 1 June 2020
Medicine, Environmental Science
Evidence is provided for the ability of Oligo-Fucoidan to prevent radiation-induced fibrosis and second malignancies in zebrafish and rescue of those genes can prevent liver cancer formation.
A Novel AURKA Mutant-Induced Early-Onset Severe Hepatocarcinogenesis Greater than Wild-Type via Activating Different Pathways in Zebrafish
- Zhongliang SuC. Su C. Yuh
- 1 July 2019
Biology, Medicine
It is provided a new insight, that the AURKA(V352I) mutation contributes to early onset hepatocarcinogenesis, possibly through activation of different pathways than AurKA(WT).

- 楊婉瑜Wan-Yu Yang
- 16 January 2012
Art, History
Jin Tingbiao (?-1767) was a painter from Wu-cheng (Zhejiang) during the Qianlong reign. During the 2nd Southern Inspection Tour of the Qianlong Emperor (1757), he presented the Outline Drawings of…
Transcriptomically Revealed Oligo-Fucoidan Enhances the Immune System and Protects Hepatocytes via the ASGPR/STAT3/HNF4A Axis
- Chun‐Chia ChengWan-Yu YangMing-Chen HsiaoKuan-Hao LinHao-Wei LeeC. Yuh
- 1 June 2020
Medicine, Biology
It is suggested that oligo-fucoidan not only enhances the gene expression associated with anti-viral ability and immunity, but also increases P1-HNF4A levels through ASGPR/STAT3 axis, resulting in protecting hepatocytes.
