براساس الگوي و معيارهاي پاتولوژی WHO ، % 2/96 از بیماران type 2 WHO و نوعcarcinoma undifferentiated Non Keratinizing و % 8/3 type1WHO و نوعsquamouse cell carcinoma keratinizing بودند. Introduction: The incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma on the bases of available statistics varying between different countries that he incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Iran does not have a clear picture. This study investigates the incidence of cancer by age, gender, disease stage, and histological typing over the years 2001-2010 in Ahvaz Golestan hospital radiotherapy department. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive, retrospective study. In this study, 187 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, which between 2001 to 2011 were referred to the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology Ahvaz Golestan hospital, were studied. Demographic, the results of CT, MRI and histopathological data were extracted. Using descriptive statistics, frequency and percentage frequency were calculated. Results: Of the 187 patients, 140 (% 74.9) were male and 47 (% 25.1), were female. Patients aged 12 to 85 years with a mean age of 45.88 years of age peak in the fourth decade of life. According to Model and pathological criteria of WhO, % 96.2 patients with type 2 WHO and carcinoma undifferentiated Non Keratinizing and% 3.8 WHO were squamouse cell carcinoma keratinizing type1. Tumor staging indicates that% 36.6 were at stage IV,% 32.8 in stage III,% 25.4% in stage II, and 5.2& of patients had Stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Conclusion: The pattern of this disease in this study was similar to other studies, but the peak was lower compare to other study and non-keratinized type of undifferentiated carcinoma was higher than in other studies
