Known as: guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(T) beta subunit 2, Guanine Nucleotide Binding Protein (G Protein), Beta Polypeptide 2 Gene, G protein, beta-2 subunit 
This gene plays a role in signal transduction and is involved in the suppression of glucocorticoid-responsive gene activation.
