BIRC5 gene

Known as: BACULOVIRAL IAP REPEAT-CONTAINING PROTEIN 5, EPR-1, survivin variant 3 alpha 
This gene regulates the apoptotic pathway by manipulation of the cell cycle. BIRC5 has been associated with several cancers.
