مقدمه: آدنوویروس های انسانی از عوامل مهم ایجاد عفونت مجاری تنفسی خصوصا در کودکان هستند. هدف از این مطالعه تعیین آدنوویروس های عامل بیماری حاد تنفسی در کودکان بیمار با علائم شبه آنفولانزا در استان خوزستان می باشد. روش: 163 نمونه سواپ نازوفارنکس از کودکان زیر 15 سال گرفته شد. پس از استخراج ژنوم و انجام nested PCR علیه ژن هگزون آدنوویروس، محصولات نمونه های مثبت توالی یابی گردیدند. با آنالیز توالی ها به وسیله برنامه BLAST سروتیپ ها شناسائی شدند. یافته ها: 30 نمونه از 163 نمونه از نظر وجود آدنوویروس مثبت بودند. از این بین 20 نمونه توالی یابی گردید که 18 نمونه آدنوویروس تیپ 5 و 2 نمونه آدنوویروس تیپ 6 شناخته شد. نتیجه گیری: فراوانی نسبی عفونت حاد تنفسی ناشی از آدنوویروس ها در افراد زیر 15 سال 4/18% تعیین گردید که بالاتر از سایر مطالعات مشابه در نواحی دیگر می باشد. گونه C آدنوویروس ها (Ad5, Ad6) در این رابطه حائز نقش اساسی شناخته شدند. Introduction: Human Adenoviruses are among the main etiological agents of respiratory disease especially in children. The aim of this study was to determine the role of Human Adenoviruses among children suffering from flu –like symptom in Khozestan province soth-west of Iran. Methods: on handred sixty three nasopharynx swabs were collected from children younger than 15 years. Following extraction of viral DNA, nested PCR was performed for detection of adenoviruses in samples. The posetive amplicon was sequenced in order to detect the serotypes of adenoviruses. Results: Out of 163 samples, 30 were posetive for adenoviruses by nested PCR. Twenty of PCR products were sequenced. Based on the sequence of the amplicon, 18 (90%) were Ad5 and 2 sample (10%) were Ad6. Conclusion: related frequency of adenoviruses detected in acute upper respiratory disease among children under 15 years old was 18.4%. this frequency was more than reported studies from other regions.
