We discuss the modal properties of the r modes of relativistic superfluid neutron stars, taking account of the entrainment effects between superfluids. In this paper, the neutron stars are assumed to be filled with neutron and proton superfluids and the strength of the entrainment effects between the superfluids are represented by a single parameter $\ensuremath{\eta}.$ We find that the basic properties of the r modes in a relativistic superfluid star are very similar to those found for a…

We calculate the finite-temperature r-mode spectrum of a slowly rotating superfluid Newtonian neutron star neglecting the entrainment between neutron and proton liquid components (i.e., neglecting

It has been well established that the f-mode of relativistic ordinary fluid neutron stars displays a universal scaling behavior. Here, we study whether the 'ordinary' f{sub o}- and 'superfluid' f{sub

We study non-radial oscillations of neutron stars with superfluid baryons, in a general relativistic framework, including finite temperature effects. Using a perturbative approach, we derive the

We analyze damping of oscillations of general relativistic superfluid neutron stars. To this aim we extend the method of decoupling of superfluid and normal oscillation modes first suggested in

We present results concerning adiabatic inertial-mode oscillations of non-stratified superfluid neutron stars in Newtonian gravity, using the anelastic and slow-rotation approximations. We consider a

Using time evolutions of the relevant linearized equations, we study non-axisymmetric oscillations of rapidly rotating and superfluid neutron stars. We consider perturbations of Newtonian

Neutron stars are expected to contain several distinct superfluid components, ranging from the neutron superfluid which coexists with the elastic crust to the mixed neutron superfluid/proton
Theoretical analysis of the vibrational dynamics of neutron star interiors
Just as the observations of oscillations of ordinary stars can be used to determine their composition and structure, the oscillations of neutron stars could potentially be used to determine the

We examine radial oscillations of superfluid neutron stars at finite internal temperatures. For this purpose, we generalize the description of relativistic superfluid hydrodynamics to the case of
