Elementary fuzzy Cellular Automata (CA) are known as continuous counterpart of elementary CA, which are 2-state CA, via the polynomial representation of local rules. In this paper, we first develop a new fuzzification methodology for $q$-state CA. It is based on the vector representation of $q$-state CA, that is, the $q$-states are assigned to the standard basis vectors of the $q$-dimensional real space and the local rule can be expressed by a tuple of $q$ polynomials. Then, the $q$-state…

Cellular automata traffic flow model derived through the ultradiscrete limit of the correlated random walk
In this paper, we show that a generalization of the discrete Burgers equation can be obtained by a kind of discrete Cole–Hopf transformation to the discrete diffusion equation corresponding to the
A variant of the discrete Burgers equation derived from the correlated random walk and its ultradiscretization

An Algebraic Characterization of Fuzzy Cellular Automata
This work starts from a single polynomial in three variables and shows that among these there are precisely eight equivalent polynomials whose span over Z2 generates a vector space of dimension 8 over the fieldZ2 containing 256 distinct elements.
Controlling the Dynamics of the Fuzzy Cellular Automaton Rule 90, I
This paper attempts to apply the control theory concept to the special class of fuzzy CA for which more freedom is gained using a continuum state space, and investigates the possibility of finding a control u= (u 0, u 1, i¾? , u Ti½? 1 ) which forces the system at a localized cell, to achieve a given desired state at time T.
On Quantum Cellular Automata
This work considers an approach to definition of a scheme with "history", valid for quantization both irreversible and reversible classical CA directly using local transition rules, using language of vectors in Hilbert spaces instead of C*-algebras.

On the Asymptotic Behaviour of Circular Fuzzy Cellular Automata
This paper considers circular FCA; their asymptotic behaviours had previously been observed through simulation and FCA had been empirically classified accordingly, but no analytical study previously existed to support these observations.
On the Decidability of the Evolution of the Fuzzy Cellular Automaton 184
It is shown, in particular, that the asymptotic evolution of FCA 184 from any finite initial including random configuration of non-zero cells is decidable.

Fuzzy cellular automata: from theory to applications
This paper begins with a fuzzified entity called fuzzy automaton, then the basics of cellular automata are presented, the structure of fuzzy cellular automaton is defined, and some simulation results from the field of fire spread in homogeneous nature environment are presented.
