We consider the six-vertex model with the rational weights on an s by N square lattice with partial domain wall boundary conditions. We study the one-point function at the boundary where the free boundary conditions are imposed. For a finite lattice, it can be computed by the quantum inverse scattering method in terms of determinants. In the large N limit, the result boils down to an explicit terminating series in the parameter of the weights. Using the saddle-point method for an equivalent…

Thermodynamic limit of the six-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions
We address the question of the dependence of the bulk free energy on boundary conditions for the six-vertex model. Here we compare the bulk free energy for periodic and domain wall boundary
The two-point correlation function in the six-vertex model
We study numerically the two-point correlation functions of height functions in the six-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions. The correlation functions and the height functions are
An approach for calculating correlation functions in the six-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions
We address the problem of calculating correlation functions in the six-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions by considering a particular nonlocal correlation function, called the row
Partial domain wall partition functions
A bstractWe consider six-vertex model configurations on an (n × N) lattice, n ≤ N, that satisfy a variation on domain wall boundary conditions that we define and call partial domain wall boundary
Six-vertex model with partial domain wall boundary conditions: ferroelectric phase
We obtain an asymptotic formula for the partition function of the six-vertex model with partial domain wall boundary conditions in the ferroelectric phase region. The proof is based on a formula for
Boundary Polarization of the Rational Six-Vertex Model on a Semi-Infinite Lattice
Summary: The six-vertex model on a finite square lattice with the so-called partial domain wall boundary conditions is considered. For the case of rational Boltzmann weights, the polarization on the
Boundary correlation functions of the six-vertex model
We consider the six-vertex model on an N × N square lattice with the domain wall boundary conditions. Boundary one-point correlation functions of the model are expressed as determinants of N × N
Numerical study of the 6-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions
A Markov process is constructed to numerically study the phase separation in the 6-vertex model with domain wall boundary conditions. It is a random walk on the graph where vertices are states and
Random Matrices and the Six-Vertex Model
This book provides a detailed description of the Riemann-Hilbert approach (RH approach) to the asymptotic analysis of both continuous and discrete orthogonal polynomials, and applications to random
