Objective: To evaluate the accuracy and cost-effectiveness of metabolic staging (MS) with FDG-PET as compared with the conventional staging (CS) strategy in the preoperative staging of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Materials and Methods: A total of 95 patients with initial diagnosis of NSCLC were staged before undergoing treatment.
