Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) is the most economically significant mycoplasma pathogen of poultry that causes chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in chickens. Although miRNAs have been identified as a major regulator effect on inflammatory response, it is largely unclear how they regulate MG-induced inflammation. The aim of this study was to investigate the functional roles of gga-miR-451 and identify downstream targets regulated by gga-miR-451 in MG infection of chicken. We found that the…

Transcriptional Regulation of gga-miR-451 by AhR:Arnt in Mycoplasma gallisepticum (HS Strain) Infection
TLDR
Investigation of the mechanism regulating gga-miR-451 in Mycoplasma gallisepticum infection in chickens suggested that AhR:Arnt may play an anti-inflammatory role in MG infection, which suggests that induced gGA-mi R-451 expression is modulated by AhR;Arnt in response to MG infection.
Up-Regulation of miR-130b-3p Activates the PTEN/PI3K/AKT/NF-κB Pathway to Defense against Mycoplasma gallisepticum (HS Strain) Infection of Chicken
TLDR
Upon MG infection, up-regulation of miR-130b-3p activates the PI3K/AKT/NF-κB pathway, facilitates cell proliferation and cell cycle via down-regulating PTEN, and helps to understand the mechanism of host response to MG infection.
Upregulated gga-miR-16-5p Inhibits the Proliferation Cycle and Promotes the Apoptosis of MG-Infected DF-1 Cells by Repressing PIK3R1-Mediated the PI3K/Akt/NF-κB Pathway to Exert Anti-Inflammatory Effect
TLDR
Upregulated gga-miR-16-5p could decrease multiplication, cycle progression, and increase apoptosis of MG-infected DF-1 cells, at least partly through directly targeting PIK3R1 and inhibiting PI3K/Akt/NF-κB pathway to exert an anti-inflammatory effect.
Baicalin ameliorates Mycoplasma gallisepticum-induced lung inflammation in chicken by inhibiting TLR6-mediated NF-κB signalling
TLDR
Baicalin has a protective effect against MG-induced lung inflammation in chicken by inhibiting the TLR6-mediated NF-κB signalling.
Analysis of deep sequencing exosome‐microRNA expression profile derived from CP‐II reveals potential role of gga‐miRNA‐451 in inflammation
TLDR
This work suggests that exosomes from MG‐infected CP‐II cells alter the dynamics of the DF‐1 cells, and may contribute to pathology of the MG infection via exosomal gga‐miR‐451 targeting YWHAZ involving in inflammation.
MicroRNA Expression Profiling in Newcastle Disease Virus-Infected DF-1 Cells by Deep Sequencing
TLDR
A global miRNA expression profile in DF-1 cells in response to NDV infection is presented and the roles of some SDE miRNAs in NDV replication are verified, which will underpin further studies of miRNA’ roles between the host and the virus.

Chicken gga-miR-19a Targets ZMYND11 and Plays an Important Role in Host Defense against Mycoplasma gallisepticum (HS Strain) Infection
TLDR
Gga-miR-19a might suppress the expression of ZMYND11 in MG-infected chicken embryonic lungs and DF-1 cells, activate the NF-κB signaling pathway, and promote pro-inflammatory cytokines expression, the cell cycle progression and cell proliferation to defend against MG infection.
gga-miR-101-3p Plays a Key Role in Mycoplasma gallisepticum (HS Strain) Infection of Chicken
TLDR
It is revealed that gga-miR-101-3p plays an important role in MG infection through regulation of EZH2 expression and provides a new insight into the mechanisms of MG pathogenesis.
Downregulation of microRNA-451 in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis inhibits fatty acid-induced proinflammatory cytokine production through the AMPK/AKT pathway.
miR-451 protects against erythroid oxidant stress by repressing 14-3-3zeta.
TLDR
A novel miRNA-regulated pathway that protects erythrocytes against oxidant stress is defined and how a miRNA can influence gene expression by altering the activity of a key transcription factor is illustrated.
HCV-Induced miR-21 Contributes to Evasion of Host Immune System by Targeting MyD88 and IRAK1
TLDR
It is demonstrated that HCV infection upregulates miR-21, which in turn suppresses HCV-triggered type I IFN production, thus promoting HCV replication and may be a potential therapeutic target for antiviral intervention.
miR-451 Regulates Dendritic Cell Cytokine Responses to Influenza Infection
TLDR
The data suggest that viral infection specifically induces a miRNA that directs a negative regulatory cascade to tune DC cytokine production, and this work determined that miR-451 regulates a subset of proinflammatory cytokine responses.
MiR-451 inhibits synovial fibroblasts proliferation and inflammatory cytokines secretion in rheumatoid arthritis through mediating p38MAPK signaling pathway.
TLDR
It is proved that miR-451 can down-regulate p38 MAPK protein expression, and reduce synovial fibroblasts proliferation and cytokine expression level.
