observations of micron—sized particle removal from opticalsurfaces by pulsed laser irradiation are reported. The laser was a Nd:YAGdevice operating at 1.06 1am. We observed that absorbing particles wereremoved from non—absorbing surfaces, but that non—absorbing particles werenot.
