In many domains, patterns are a well-established concept to capture proven solutions for frequently reoccurring problems. Patterns aim at capturing knowledge gathered from experience at an abstract level so that proven concepts can be applied to a variety of concrete, individual occurrences of the general problem. While this principle makes a pattern very reusable, it opens up a gap between the (i) captured abstract knowledge and the (ii) concrete actions required to solve a problem at hand… CONTINUE READING
