  • SUMMARY Light andelectron microscopic studies ofYAGlaser iridotomies were performed intwo human iridectomy specimens. Full-thickness defects were created and showedstromal andvascularnecrosis. Thelight andelectron microscopicconfiguration of the lesionswas compatible with mechanical disruption from shockwaves.
