title={Zhenwu decoction for chronic heart failure},
author={Qi Tang and Yuanping Wang and Kuangyi Li},
Background: Chronic heart failure (CHF), not only a severe personal healthy problem but also a social financial burden, has become a global health concern. Zhenwu decoction (ZWD) has been widely adopted to clinical practice for patients with CHF. It is necessary to update the researches to reevaluate the efficacy and safety of ZWD to provide the up-to-date evidence for CHF management. Therefore, we provide a protocol of systematic review regarding ZWD for CHF. Methods: The aim of this study was…
Mechanism of Zhen Wu Decoction in the Treatment of Heart Failure Based on Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking
GO enrichment analysis showed that Shengjie Tongyu decoction could play a role through multiple biological pathways including angiogenesis, regulation of endothelial cell proliferation, binding of cytokine receptors, negative regulation of apoptotic signalling pathways, and regulation of nitric oxide synthase activity, and reactive oxygen metabolism.

Evaluation of Zhenwu Decoction Effects on CYP450 Enzymes in Rats Using a Cocktail Method by UPLC-MS/MS
The significant inductive effects of ZWD on three CYP450 isoenzymes indicated that when ZWD was coadministrated with drugs mediated by these enzymes, not only should the potential herb-drug interactions (HDIs) be observed, but the dosage adjustment and tissue drug concentration should also be considered.
Comparative HPLC-MS/MS-based pharmacokinetic studies of multiple diterpenoid alkaloids following the administration of Zhenwu Tang and Radix Aconiti Lateralis Praeparata extracts to rats
It is suggested that the other compounds within ZWT can enhance the absorption of benzoylmesaconitine, while hypacon itine exhibits higher bioavailability in female rats, as compared with male rats.

[Meta-analysis of supplemented Zhenwu decoction for treating congestive heart-failure].
Meta-analysis results showed that as compared with western medicine alone, the total effective rate of heart function could be improved by applying supplemented Zhenwu decoction based on the western medicine, and more randomized double-blind trials with a large sample size are still required to verify the efficiency of supplemented Zenwu decOction for treating congestive heart-failure.
Clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicines for chronic heart failure
The effectiveness and safety of the TCMs were both satisfactory, and the traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine therapy could significantly improve the clinical effectiveness and reduce some of the adverse reactions from western medicines used alone.
