on word length in Slavic languages, dealing with the theoretical modelling of frequency distributions of x-syllable words (as for example Best/Zinenko 1998, 1999, 2001; Girzig 1997; Grzybek 2000; Nemcova/Altmann 1994; Uhliřova 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001).
