We derive the quantum Boltzmann equation (QBE) by using generalized Landau-interaction parameters, obtained through the nonequilibrium Green’s function technique. This is a generalization of the usual QBE formalism to non-Fermi liquid (NFL) systems, which do not have well-defined quasiparticles. We apply this framework to a controlled low-energy effective field theory for the Ising-nematic quantum critical point, in order to find the collective excitations of the critical Fermi surface in the… Expand

We derive the quantum Boltzmann equation (QBE) of composite fermions at/near the $\nu = 1/2$ state using the non-equilibrium Green's function technique. The lowest order perturbative correction toExpand
Non-Fermi liquid at the FFLO quantum critical point
When a 2D superconductor is subjected to a strong in-plane magnetic field, Zeeman polarization of the Fermi surface can give rise to inhomogeneous FFLO order with a spatially modulated gap. FurtherExpand
TRANSPORT THEORY FOR ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTIONS IN METALS

We present a renormalization group theory for the onset of Ising-nematic order in a Fermi liquid in two spatial dimensions. This is a quantum phase transition, driven by electron interactions, whichExpand
Disorder-driven destruction of a non-Fermi liquid semimetal studied by renormalization group analysis
We investigate the interplay of Coulomb interactions and short-range-correlated disorder in three-dimensional systems where absent disorder the noninteracting band structure hosts a quadratic bandExpand
Perturbative non-Fermi liquids from dimensional regularization
We devise a dimensional regularization scheme for quantum field theories with Fermi surface to study scaling behaviour of non-Fermi liquid states in a controlled approximation. Starting from a FermiExpand
