We consider hard-core bosons on the kagome lattice in the presence of short-range repulsive interactions and focus particularly on the filling factor $1/3$. In the strongly interacting limit, the low-energy excitations can be described by the quantum fully packed loop coverings on the triangular lattice. Using a combination of tensor product state based methods and exact diagonalization techniques, we show that the system has an extended ${\mathbb{Z}}_{2}$ topological liquid phase as well as a…
Topological hard-core bosons on the honeycomb lattice
This paper presents a connection between the topological properties of hardcore bosons and that of magnons in quantum spin magnets. We utilize the Haldane-like hardcore bosons on the honeycomb
Prediction of Toric Code Topological Order from Rydberg Blockade
The physical realization of $\mathbb Z_2$ topological order as encountered in the paradigmatic toric code has proven to be an elusive goal. We show that this phase of matter can be created in a
Aspects of many-body systems on a kagome lattice
Strongly correlated systems on geometrically frustrated lattices can stabilize a large number of interesting phases that includes a wide array of novel Mott insulators in both bosonic and electronic
Quantum Spin Liquid with Even Ising Gauge Field Structure on Kagome Lattice.
TLDR
The transition between a spin liquid and stripe solid appears to be continuous and associated with the condensation of visons, and belongs to the 3D XY^{*} universality classassociated with thecondensation of spinons.
Magnetization plateaus of an easy-axis kagome antiferromagnet with extended interactions
We investigate the properties in finite magnetic field of an extended anisotropic $XXZ$ spin-1/2 model on the kagome lattice, originally introduced by Balents, Fisher, and Girvin [Phys. Rev. B 65,
Permutation cycles of hardcore Bose-Hubbard models on square and kagome lattices
In this paper, we study the statistics of permutation cycles of ground-state hardcore lattice bosons described by various two-dimensional Bose-Hubbard-type models on both square and Kagome lattices.
A topological signature of multipartite entanglement
In this manuscript, we present a proposal to relate topological structure of worldline configurations to multipartite entanglement. Configurations result from the path-integral formulation of the
Quantum phases of Rydberg atoms on a kagome lattice
TLDR
This work theoretically investigate the quantum phases that can be realized by arranging such Rydberg atoms on a kagome lattice, and identifies an intriguing regime that constitutes a promising candidate for hosting a phase with long-range quantum entanglement and topological order.
