The canonical formulation of general relativity (GR) is based on decomposition space–time manifold M into R × Σ , where R represents the time, and Ksi is the three-dimensional space-like surface. This decomposition has to preserve the invariance of GR, invariance under general coordinates, and local Lorentz transformations. These symmetries are associated with conserved currents that are coupled to gravity. These symmetries are studied on a three dimensional space-like hypersurface Σ embedded…

Modeling and simulation of equivalent circuits in description of biological systems - a fractional calculus approach

Using the fractional calculus approach, we present the Laplace analysis of an equivalent electrical circuit for a multilayered system, which includes distributed elements of the Cole model type. The

Reformulation of the symmetries of first-order general relativity

We report a new internal gauge symmetry of the n-dimensional Palatini action with cosmological term (3$ ?>n>3) that is the generalization of three-dimensional local translations. This symmetry is

Covariant Hamiltonian Field Theory

A consistent, local coordinate formulation of covariant Hamiltonian field theory is presented. Whereas the covariant canonical field equations are equivalent to the Euler–Lagrange field equations,

GRAVITY AND MIRROR GRAVITY IN PLEBANSKI FORMULATION

We present several theories of four-dimensional gravity in the Plebanski formulation, in which the tetrads and the connections are the independent dynamical variables. We consider the relation

Pure Connection Formulation, Twistors and the Chase for a Twistor Action for General Relativity

This paper establishes the relation between traditional results from (euclidean) twistor theory and chiral formulations of General Relativity (GR), especially the pure connection formulation.

CANONICAL STRUCTURE OF GAUGE INVARIANCE PROCA'S ELECTRODYNAMICS THEORY

Proca's electrodynamics describes a theory of massive photons which is not gauge invariant. In this paper we show that the gauge invariance is recovered if a scalar field is properly incorporated

Gauge fixing and canonical quantization

We study the canonical quantization of non-Abelian gauge fields in the temporal gauge A/sub 0/ = 0. We impose the constraint condition of Gauss's law by performing a point transformation into any of

Consistent matter couplings for Plebanski gravity

We develop a scheme for the minimal coupling of all standard types of tensor and spinor field matter to Plebanski gravity. This theory is a geometric reformulation of vacuum general relativity in

Black hole entropy from the SU(2)-invariant formulation of type I isolated horizons

A detailed analysis of the spherically symmetric isolated horizon system is performed in terms of the connection formulation of general relativity. The system is shown to admit a manifestly SU(2)

Black hole entropy and SU(2) Chern-Simons theory.

TLDR
This work shows that this boundary condition given on a null surface representing the event horizon can be treated in a manifestly SU(2) invariant manner and settles previous controversies concerning the counting of states.

Loop Representation of Wigner's Little Groups

TLDR
It is shown possible to construct one unified representation of Wigner’s little groups using a graphical description, which allows us to describe vividly parity, time reversal, and charge conjugation of the internal symmetry groups.
