The suitability of L-arabinose-rich plant hydrolysates as carbon sources and inducers of xylanase production in Trichoderma reesei Rut C-30 was tested. Significantly higher xylanase activities were obtained in cultures on oat husk and sugar beet pulp hydrolysates than on lactose.
