The paper introduces the principles of x puters in contrast to the principles of von Neumann type com puters. The paper characterizes a class of algorithms which run by orders of magnitude faster on xputers than on computers and explains the novel execution mechanisms of xputers as well as novel compilation techniques to generate high performance xputer machine code.
