The Unit of Structure and Space Group of Sodalite. The mineral sodalite, N^Al^Si^O^Cl, belongs to the cubic system, the crystals usually being dodecahedra. Etch figures strongly indicate the point-group symmetry to be Td. A small specimen, about 2 χ 2 χ 0.6 mm, tabular on (HO), was cleaved from a piece of light blue massive sodalite from Bancroft, Ontario. Α Laue photograph was taken with the incident beam nearly normal to the cleavage face, using the radiation from a tube with tungsten…

The crystal structures of helvite groyp minerals , ( Mn , Fe , Zn ) s ( BeeSieOzn )
The structures of six members of the helvite-genthelvite series (Mn,Fe,Zn)a(BeoSi6Oza)Sz have been refined in the space grotp P43n to R factors between 0'024 and 0.029 for observed reflections
Crystal chemistry of tetrahedrite
The crystal chemistry of tetrahedrite can be rationalized by considering the structure, commonly written asr"M(l)uIIIM(2)6ftrXI"Y3l4"'Z [where M(l) : Cu, Fe, Zn,Mn, Hg, Cd; M(2) : Cu, Ag; X : Sb, As,

with a framework structure enclosing cavities occupied by large ions and water molecules, both of which have considerable freedom of movement, permitting ion-exchange and reversible dehydration.
Symmetry relationships of sodalite (SOD) – type crystal structures
Abstract The mineral sodalite with the ideal composition Na8[Al6Si6O24]Cl2 is the prototype for numerous related crystal structures based on the same topology of the underlying net of strong bonds.
Growth mechanism of microporous zincophosphate sodalite revealed by in situ atomic force microscopy.
The work describes, for the first time, both ideal growth and growth leading to defect structures on all of the principal facets of the sodalite structure, and the discovery of the presence of anisotropic friction on a framework material.
Synthesis, Characterization and Crystal Structure of Gallosilicate Perchlorate Sodalite
Perchlorate enclathrated sodalite with gallosilicate host framework has been synthesized under low temperature (100 o C) hydrothermal technique and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, IR,
XRD diffraction data and Rietveld refinement of Na8[Si6Al6O24]Cl2
A natural sodalite from the geological site Alkaline Complex of Floresta Azul, Bahia, Brazil, has been characterized by electron microprobe, infrared spectroscopy, and powder high-resolution X-ray
The sodalite group of minerals
The results of a study of the chemical composition, cell parameters, density and refractive index of two sodalites and twenty five members of the nosean-haüyne solid solution series are given. It is
