Chromosome numbers in Tripleurospermum Sch. Bip. (Asteraceae) and closely related genera: relationships between ploidy level and stomatal length
This study includes 24 reports of chromosome counts in Tripleurospermum Sch. Bip. (20 taxa), Anthemis L. (1 species) and Matricaria L. (3 taxa) belonging to the tribe Anthemideae of the family
Morphoanatomical study of Matricaria L. (Asteraceae) in Turkey
The colour of disc florets, that of ribs on the achenes, the presence or absence of a slime envelope and the pericarp thickness are useful for delimitation of Matricaria taxa, and a key to taxa based on these characters together with other diagnostic traits is provided.
Essential oil composition and antibacterial activity of Achillea millefolium L. from different regions in North east of Iran
Results demonstrate that the oil of A. millefolium L. can become potentials for controlling certain important Gram positive and negative bacteria which produces many infectious diseases, but their effective is varied in different region.
Chromosome Numbers in Three Asteraceae Tribes from Inner Mongolia (China), with Genome Size Data for Cardueae
This study includes representatives of the tribes Anthemideae (Artemisia, Chrysanthemum, Filifolium, Hippolytia and Neopallasia), Astereae (Heteropappus) and Cardueae (Echinops and Olgaea), and the significance of the chromosome counts is discussed for each species.
Molecular phylogeny and taxonomy of Tanacetum L. (Compositae, Anthemideae) inferred from nrDNA ITS and cpDNA trnH–psbA sequence variation
The phylogeny of Tanacetum does not support the separation of the white- and red-rayed species from the discoid, disciform, or yellow-raysed ones at any infrageneric rank, and the sinking of Gonospermum, Lugoa, and Xylanthemum into a broadly circumscribed genus Tan acetum is proposed until more stable phylogenetic reconstructions based on more and more variable molecular markers are possible.
Systematic status and phylogenetic relationships of the enigmatic Tanacetum paradoxum Bornm. (Asteraceae, Anthemideae): evidences from nrDNA ITS, micromorphological, and cytological data
The combination Artemisia paradoxa (Bornm.) Sonboli is proposed, due to the well-supported close phylogenetic relationship of T. paradoxum to the species of the genus Artemisia, which is supported by cytological and micromorphological features concerning the achene shape and pollen type.
A Comprehensive Review on Biology, Genetic Improvement, Agro and Process Technology of German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.)
Earlier reports on taxonomy, floral biology, processing of oil extraction, active constituents, uses, agronomy, breeding challenges and opportunities in German chamomile are summarized in this review.
Morphological, anatomical structure and molecular phylogenetics of Anthemis trotzkiana claus
When comparing the anatomical structure of virginal roots in three populations, it was found that the morphometric parameters of plants in the 1-2nd populations were high, while the data of the 3rd population were lower, and the taxonomic provision of rare A. trotzkiana was clarified.
Multi-locus phylogenetic reconstructions reveal ample reticulate relationships among genera in Anthemideae subtribe Handeliinae (Compositae)
In order to clarify the phylogenetic relationships among the genera of Compositae-Anthemideae subtribe Handeliinae, we analysed sequence variation on both the plastidic (cpDNA trnL-rpl32 intergenic
