  • Available methods for x-ray opacification of lymph nodes rely upon either an intraperitoneal or an intralymphatic injection of contrast material. Intraperitoneal injection leads to opacification of intrathoracic, internal mammary nodes while injection into a peripheral lymphatic results in opacification of regional nodes.
