Wyner-Ziv video coding is a new paradigm in video coding based on Slepian-Wolf and Wyner-Ziv theorem. Not like standard video codec, Wyner-Ziv video coding estimates motion in decoder in order to simplify encoder. Among many motion estimation methods that already applied, Expectation-Maximization algorithm is the most effective one.
