An analytical solution representing traversable asymptotically flat and symmetric wormholes was obtained without adding exotic matter in two different theories independently: in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dirac theory and in the second Randall-Sundrum brane-world model. Further, a smooth normalizable asymmetric wormhole solution has been recently obtained numerically in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dirac theory. Using the time-domain integration method we study quasinormal ringing of all these wormholes with…

Echoes from asymmetric wormholes and black bounce

Analysis of time evolutions of the field perturbations in certain asymmetric wormhole and black bounce backgrounds shows that the negative regions of effective potentials are enclosed by the black hole horizons for a class of symmetric black bounce metrics, suggesting the stability of these symmetric metrics.

From black-bounce to traversable wormhole, and beyond

Key results from the literature pertaining to a class of nonsingular black hole mimickers are explored. The family of candidate spacetimes is for now labelled the ‘black-bounce’ family, stemming from

Gravitational lensing by a Bronnikov-Kim wormhole under a weak-field approximation and in a strong deflection limit

We consider gravitational lensing under a weak-field approximation and in a strong deflection limit by a Bronnikov-Kim wormhole with the same metric as the one of a wormhole which has been suggested in

Field sources for Simpson-Visser spacetimes

Simpson–Visser (SV) space-times are the simplest globally regular modifications of the Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordstr¨om and other black hole solutions of general relativity. They smoothly

Epicyclic orbits in the field of Einstein–Dirac–Maxwell traversable wormholes applied to the quasiperiodic oscillations observed in microquasars and active galactic nuclei

We study the epicyclic oscillatory motion around circular orbits of the traversable asymptotically flat and reflection-symmetric wormholes obtained in the Einstein–Dirac–Maxwell theory without

Traversable wormholes with like-Casimir complexity supported with arbitrarily small amount of exotic matter

This work provides the redshift function of a Casimir traversable wormhole which, in combination with a non-vanishing complexity factor, leads to a traversable Wormhole with a minimum amount of exotic matter.

Construction of a traversable wormhole from a suitable embedding function

It is obtained that the wormhole geometry can be sustained by a finite amount of exotic matter and seems to be stable under scalar perturbations.

Traversable Wormholes in Einstein-Dirac-Maxwell Theory.

It is shown the existence of spherically symmetric asymptotically flat configurations which are free of singularities, representing localized states in Einstein-Dirac-Maxwell theory, and satisfy a generalized Smarr relation.

The Ringing wormholes

We investigate the response of the traversable wormholes to the external perturbations through finding their characteristic frequencies and time-domain profiles. The considered solution describes

Stable Lorentzian Wormholes in Dilatonic Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Theory

A comprehensive study of Lorentzian wormholes in dilatonic Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory in four spacetime dimensions is performed, and a generalised Smarr relation is derived for these wormholes.

Reflection-asymmetric wormholes and their double shadows

We discuss construction and observational properties of wormholes obtained by connecting two Reissner-Nordstrom spacetimes with distinct mass and charge parameters. These objects are spherically

Ringing of the regular black-hole/wormhole transition

General parametrization of wormhole spacetimes and its application to shadows and quasinormal modes

The correspondence between the real part of quasinormal modes and the shadow radius in a wormhole spacetime is studied and it is argued that due to the rotation and depending on the specific model, the typical shadow radius can increase or decrease and a reflecting point exists.
