Respondents in a survey of specialized addiction treatment providers indicated a strong commitment to the addictions field. In a multivariate analysis, intention to stay in the addictions field was positively related to a measure of attitudes toward staying or leaving, to age, involvement in an addictions studies program, working in a residential service, and job satisfaction.
