This paper introduces an on-going research effort at the Peter Kiewit Institute (PKI) at Omaha, Nebraska for developing sensor-aided intelligent mobile robots that provide high-level navigation functions for indoor construction site security and safety using wireless sensor networking (WSN) technology.
