This paper reports the development of a Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) for sleep staging applications. A prototype biopotential sensor node has been designed for monitoring a multitude of biopotential signals. A system consisting of three of these nodes packaged in a headband enables wireless sleep stage monitoring.
