We have recently proposed a deterministic matrix dynamics at the Planck scale, for gravity coupled to Dirac fermions, evolving in the so-called Connes time. By coarse-graining this dynamics over time intervals much larger than Planck time, we derived the space-time manifold, quantum theory, and classical general relativity, as low energy emergent approximations to the underlying matrix dynamics. In the present article, we show how to include Yang-Mills gauge fields in this Planck scale matrix…
Trace dynamics, and a ground state in spontaneous quantum gravity
We have recently proposed a Lagrangian in trace dynamics, to describe a possible unification of gravity, Yang-Mills fields, and fermions, at the Planck scale. This Lagrangian for the unified entity
A basic definition of spin in the new matrix dynamics
Abstract We have recently proposed a new matrix dynamics at the Planck scale, building on the theory of trace dynamics. This is a Lagrangian dynamics in which the matrix degrees of freedom are made
I. AN EIGENVALUE EQUATION FOR THE HAMILTONIAN OF AN AIKYON
We have recently proposed a Lagrangian in trace dynamics, to describe a possible unification of gravity, Yang-Mills fields, and fermions, at the Planck scale. This Lagrangian for the unified entity
Quantum gravity, minimum length and holography
The Karolyhazy uncertainty relation states that if a device is used to measure a length l , there will be a minimum uncertainty $$\delta l$$ δ l in the measurement, given by $$(\delta l)^3 \sim
The Characteristic Equation of The Exceptional Jordan Algebra: Its Eigenvalues, And Their Relation With Mass Ratios For Quarks And Leptons
We have recently proposed a pre-quantum, pre-space-time theory as a matrix-valued La-grangian dynamics on an octonionic space-time. This pre-theory offers the prospect of unifying the internal
Left-Right symmetric fermions and sterile neutrinos from complex split biquaternions and bioctonions
In this article we investigate the application of complex split biquaternions and bioctonions to the standard model. We show that the Clifford algebras Cl(3) and Cl(7) can be used for making
Octonions, trace dynamics and noncommutative geometry—A case for unification in spontaneous quantum gravity
Abstract We have recently proposed a new matrix dynamics at the Planck scale, building on the theory of trace dynamics and Connes noncommutative geometry program. This is a Lagrangian dynamics in
Trace dynamics and division algebras: towards quantum gravity and unification
Abstract We have recently proposed a Lagrangian in trace dynamics at the Planck scale, for unification of gravitation, Yang–Mills fields, and fermions. Dynamical variables are described by odd-grade
Quantum gravity effects in the infra-red: a theoretical derivation of the low energy fine structure constant and mass ratios of charged fermions
We have recently proposed a pre-quantum, pre-space-time theory as a matrix-valued Lagrangian dynamics on an octonionic space-time. This theory offers the prospect of unifying internal symmetries of
Dark energy as a large scale quantum gravitational phenomenon
In our recently proposed quantum theory of gravity, the universe is made of ‘atoms‘” of space-time-matter (STM). Planck scale foam is composed of STM atoms with Planck length as their associated

Proposal for a New Quantum Theory of Gravity III: Equations for Quantum Gravity, and the Origin of Spontaneous Localisation
Abstract We present a new, falsifiable quantum theory of gravity, which we name non-commutative matter-gravity. The commutative limit of the theory is classical general relativity. In the first two
Wave function collapse, non-locality, and space-time structure
Collapse models possibly suggest the need for a better understanding of the structure of space-time. We argue that physical space, and space-time, are emergent features of the Universe, which arise
Relativistic Quantum Mechanics
Chapter summary 36 The aim of this chapter is to introduce a relativistic formalism which can be used to describe particles and their interactions. The emphasis is given to those elements of the
General Relativity in Terms of Dirac Eigenvalues
The eigenvalues of the Dirac operator are diffeomorphism-invariant functions of the geometry, namely, ``observables'' for general relativity. Recent work by Chamseddine and Connes suggests taking
From quantum foundations to quantum gravity: an overview of the new theory
Spontaneous localisation is a falsifiable dynamical mechanism which modifies quantum mechanics, and explains the absence of position superpositions in the macroscopic world. However, this is an ad

Abstract We propose that space-time results from collapse of the wave function of macroscopic objects, in quantum dynamics. We first argue that there ought to exist a formulation of quantum theory
Noncommutative Geometry Year 2000
Our geometric concepts evolved first through the discovery of Non-Euclidean geometry. The discovery of quantum mechanics in the form of the noncommuting coordinates on the phase space of atomic
The Spectral Action Principle
Abstract:We propose a new action principle to be associated with a noncommutative space . The universal formula for the spectral action is where is a spinor on the Hilbert space, is a scale and a
Models of Wave-function Collapse, Underlying Theories, and Experimental Tests
We describe the state of the art in preparing, manipulating and detecting coherent molecular matter. We focus on experimental methods for handling the quantum motion of compound systems from diatomic
