This essay is a lightly revised speech I presented at a symposium on The Future of Legal Scholarship in April 2016 at Northeastern University School of Law. It presents a brief overview of the questions that have traditionally occupied the field of jurisprudence, flags up a growing movement within the field to eliminate these questions, and defends the view that getting the right answers to these questions remains an important project
