The amino- and metal-ion sensing capability of a novel type of well-defined block copolymers based on 9-anthrylmethyl methacrylate (AnMMA; hydrophobic, fluorescent) and 2-(acetoacetoxy)ethyl methacrylate (AEMA; hydrophobic, metal chelating) has been investigated in organic media.
