In the presence of re-entrant comers or edges, the standard regularization of Maxwell equations combined with the use of nodal finite elements is known to produce wrong solutions. We get rid of this undesirable effect by the introduction of special weights inside the divergence integral. We present numerical experiments consisting in the computation of the Maxwell electric eigenvalues in two-dimensional domains.
