PRACTITIONERS in the field of chronic kidney disease (CKD) are more aware of the dangers of hidden phosphorus. Articles published in the Journal of Renal Nutrition and other peer-reviewed journals have helped healthcare professionals identify foods containing hidden phosphorus, and provide information on the most common phosphate additives and their uses.
