We propose a new mechanism where asymmetric dark matter (ADM) and the baryon asymmetry are both generated in the same decay chain of a metastable weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) after its thermal freeze-out. Dark matter and baryons are connected by a generalized baryon number that is conserved, while the DM asymmetry and baryon asymmetry compensate each other. This unified framework addresses the DM-baryon coincidence while inheriting the merit of the conventional WIMP miracle in…
Leptophilic composite asymmetric dark matter and its detection
We propose a model which explains the baryon asymmetry of the universe and dark matter relic density at the same time. In this model, dark matter candidate is the dark baryon composed by dark quarks.
Matter asymmetry sourced dark matter
We investigate the possibility that the dark matter abundance is sourced by the baryon/lepton asymmetry of the early Universe. It turns out that a Goldstone field of a local classically preserved
New Ideas in Baryogenesis: A Snowmass White Paper
The Standard Model of Particle Physics cannot explain the observed baryon asymmetry of the Universe. This observation is a clear sign of new physics beyond the Standard Model. There have been many
Dark freeze-out cogenesis
Abstract We propose a new mechanism where a multi-component dark sector generates the observed dark matter abundance and baryon asymmetry and thus addresses the coincidence between the two. The
Mechanism for baryogenesis via feebly interacting massive particles
We present a simple mechanism which allows the simultaneous generation of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe along with its dark matter content. To this goal, we employ the out-of-equilibrium

A supersymmetric theory of baryogenesis and sterile sneutrino dark matter from B mesons
Low-scale baryogenesis and dark matter generation can occur via the production of neutral B mesons at MeV temperatures in the early Universe, which undergo CP-violating oscillations and subsequently
Ultraviolet completion of a composite asymmetric dark matter model with a dark photon portal
A bstractComposite asymmetric dark matter scenarios naturally explain why the dark matter mass density is comparable with the visible matter mass density. Such scenarios generically require some
Tagging a jet from a dark sector with jet substructures at colliders
The phenomenology of dark sector is complicated if dark sector is charged under a confined hidden gauge group. In such kind of model, a dark parton produced at a high energy collider showers and
A precision test of the nature of Dark Matter and a probe of the QCD phase transition
If dark matter (DM) contains equal numbers of u,d,s quarks, the ratio of DM and ordinary matter densities is shown to follow from the Boltzmann distribution in the Quark Gluon Plasma. For sexaquark

LHC Signatures of WIMP-triggered Baryogenesis
A robust mechanism was recently proposed in which thermal freeze-out of WIMPs can provide a unified origin of dark matter and baryon abundances in our universe. We point out that this WIMP-triggered
Probing baryogenesis with displaced vertices at the LHC
A bstractThe generation of the asymmetric cosmic baryon abundance requires a departure from thermal equilibrium in the early universe. In a large class of baryogenesis models, the baryon asymmetry
Asymmetric Dark Matter
We consider a simple class of models in which the relic density of dark matter is determined by the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. In these models a B-L asymmetry generated at high temperatures is
A WIMPy baryogenesis miracle
A bstractWe explore models in which weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) dark matter annihilation is directly responsible for baryogenesis, thereby connecting dark matter with baryogenesis. We
Dark matter from baryon asymmetry
The measured densities of dark and baryonic matter are surprisingly close to each other, even though the baryon asymmetry and the dark matter are usually explained by unrelated mechanisms. We

Emergent dark matter, baryon, and lepton numbers
We present a new mechanism for transferring a pre-existing lepton or baryon asymmetry to a dark matter asymmetry that relies on mass mixing which is dynamically induced in the early universe. Such
