This paper compares voltage gain of control methods for the Z-source inverter under a given boost factor. The control methods of the Z-source inverter are simple boost control, maximum boost control and maximum constant boost control respectively. The Z-source inverter advantageously utilizes the shoot-through switching states besides active and zero states.
