A mathematical model is developed to analyze the unsteady viscous aerodynamics of a thin airfoil cascade in an incompressible laminar flow, with the unsteady aerodynamics generated by a transverse gust convected with the mean flow. The steady flow is described by the Navier-Stokes equations. A small perturbation unsteady viscous model is developed, with the unsteady flow assumed to be a small perturbation to the steady flow field.
